While it is great that Horizon is such a success and that Guerrilla is trying something new in the FPS genre, it is a shame that Killzonehas completely died. Further, the leak claims that Killzone is dead, with Guerrilla Games prioritizing this new IP and the Horizon franchise. A recent Guerrilla Games leak revealed that the developer’s next game will be a shooter with an eSports focus, but it will not be set in the Killzone universe. The Killzone franchise has not received a new game since 2013’s Killzone Shadow Fall, and unfortunately, it seems like this will not be changing anytime soon.
